The TAKE 5 Peace Pass Protocol employs the strategy of message saturation as a vehicle to shift the common community focus towards practices of peacefulness. While this is a tactic most traditionally utilized in the arenas of product and political advertising, we aim to mobilize that effect to promote messages of Non-violent Tolerance, Peacemaking and Peacekeeping.

Because a significant percentage of violent crimes (via guns or any other means) occur during the escalation of ‘everyday personal-conflict encounters’, a key element in the effort to reduce violence is making de-escalation tools accessible and available.
